Rugby Club

The weir was first constructed for a corn mill known as Wallace Mill or West Mill. It was repaired during Livingston’s construction and is now redundant.

The works are now complete but to celebrate the official opening of the new by-pass channel there will be a duck race along it.

On Friday 17th May, head to the footbridge near the Rugby Club in the afternoon and sign up for your duck to enter. The race will start at 3pm so get there nice and early to take part. Open to all duck racers, young or old.

There will also be other activities, such as seed sowing and the chance to talk to staff about the project.

Where can I see it?
