A ride along the National Cycle Network route 75 is a great, compact way to see sites along the Almond River in West Lothian by bike. This time we are leaving from the iconic Livingston Inn in Livingston Village and taking the cycle path towards Bathgate via Easter Inch Moss and Seafield Law Local Nature Reserve and through Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Bogburn Flood Lagoons. Learn about the wildlife and other nature commonly found near our inland freshwater habitats and be treated to a demonstration of water quality testing to see just how clean our local river actually is.
RiverLife are teaming up again with West Lothian Bike Library on Saturday 30th November for our fifth of a series of guided cycle rides that feature riparian habitat. Join us at 10:00am starting at the Livingston Inn car park for the ride with members of the RiverLife team and a ride leader. This will be the last event of the year, so don’t miss out!
No bike or missing necessary gear? No problem. Our partners at West Lothian Bike Library will have bikes, helmets etc to loan for those in need and can transport them to the start for you. All you need to do is book on and arrive at the Bike Library by 9:30 on the morning.
