The walk is a circular route that follows a solid path on which guests will learn about heritage within Muiravonside Country Park along with a scavenger hunt to find some small items of natural heritage within the park.
The route route is a circular one on 1.8km and should take about an hour. On the walk the group will stop at features within Muiravonside such as the old Stirling estate, a hydro powered sawmill, the aqueduct, an old lime kiln, an old curling pond and the farm. At each of these features’ guests will be given a description of the site’s heritage and there is an opportunity will be given for those who want to participate in the scavenger hunt to find items of natural heritage.
RiverLife staff will meet you at the car park of the country park prior to 10am, please note that there is a £1 parking fee.
The paths are a mixture of paved and mixed terrain and there are inclines along the way, plus steps/stairs.
