Heading upstream – from our meeting point in Morrisons carpark – across the adjacent wildflower meadow, our regular volunteer group have often found themselves sliding and stumbling down a steep slope before accessing the tarmac path below.  This month, two regular volunteers and one new one set out with our timber (recycled decking boards), spades, mattocks, billhooks and pinch bar to construct some steps down this previously treacherous slope.

Using lengths of decking board and square stakes, we built four anchor bars.  Next month, we will build another four that will take us to the top of the slope and make this regularly used path a bit easier going.  This is part of our regular volunteer meet up on the 3rd Thursday of the month.  Thanks to those that helped.  We hope to see you next month.
